Director of Issuers, Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC)

Yasser heads the teams in charge of authorizing securities offerings as well as monitoring issuers compliance with ongoing disclosure requirements and governance rules. He is also involved in many capital market development projects, in particular those pertaining to the enhancement of the transparency and governance of Moroccan issuers, or the promotion and development of sustainable finance on the Moroccan Market. He had a significant contribution in drafting the Moroccan frameworks for the issuance of sustainability-themed bonds and for ESG reporting, and leads several projects to further mainstream sustainable finance in Morocco and the region.

Yasser represents AMMC in various organizations and fora on the subject of sustainable finance, such as the Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) where AMMC co-chairs the measurement working group, and IOSCO’s AMERC (Africa and Middle East Committee) where he chairs the sustainability working group.
