Head of Structured Finance, BRED Madagasikara
Dimbiniaina Rakotojoelimaria is a seasoned finance professional specializing in structured and sustainable finance, currently serving as Head of Structured Finance at BRED Banque Populaire Madagascar. With over seven years of experience in corporate and investment banking with Société Générale he has been instrumental in advancing innovative financing across key sectors in emerging and frontier markets.
He notably structured and arranged Madagascar’s first local currency Sustainability Bond, a pioneering USD 38 million-equivalent transaction. This landmark deal earned regional and international recognition, including the “Best Bank for Sustainable Bond in Africa” award from Global Finance Magazine and the “Pride of the Indian Ocean” distinction from the Indian Ocean CEO Forum. Dimbiniaina has also contributed to major infrastructure projects, including the largest solar PV plant in the Indian Ocean region and a sustainable transport initiative, integrating ESG criteria into long-term financing frameworks.
He holds a Master of Science in Finance from Durham University as a Chevening Scholar, and has completed Executive Education in Sustainable Finance from Harvard Business School and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
