Benedito brings over 20 years of experience in consulting and academia, specializing in Financial Development, Inclusive Finance and Climate Finance.

He served as Chair of the FSD Network’s Green Finance Steering Committee, leading the developing of a unified framework to advance green finance across Africa. Currently, he contributes as Climate Finance Advisor within the FSD Network. His leadership extends to pioneering initiatives, such as the Roadmap for Green Finance in Mozambique and the Roadmap for Microinsurance in Mozambique, as well as strategic partnerships with platforms like M-Pesa.

He holds a PhD in Management with specialization in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and MBA from ISCTE-IUL Business School of Portugal. Additionally, he completed Posgraduate studies in Developing Social Housing Projects at the Institute for Housing Studies, Erasmus University in Netherlands. His professional development includes certifications in Strategic Leadership for Inclusive Finance (Harvard Business School), Climate Change: Financial Risks and Opportunities (Imperial College Business School, UK), and Unlocking Investment & Finance in Emerging Markets and Developing Economies (World Bank), among others.
